Kim is the co-founder of Good Dog in a Box, a dog products and training company that focuses on reward based dog training, dog bite prevention, and humane education, in an effort to reduce dog bites and the number of dogs abandoned at animals shelters due to bad behavior.
Kim co-wrote the Reach and Teach Humane Education curriculum. Designed for elementary school children, the program is in use by school systems, shelters, and dog trainers across the US, Canada, England, and Australia, teaching the next generation of responsible pet owner. Kim also helped developed the Dog Smart Cart Game, a dog bite prevention system for kids of all ages. Dog Smart was distributed to Head Start children in Michigan this past spring in a program funded by the American Medical Association. It was the first time the AMA had funded dog bite prevention.
Kim is a serial entrepreneur who started her first company, Kim’s Khocolate, at the age of eleven. After being discovered by Guy Kawasaki at the age of sixteen, she later went on to do business with Apple, The Rolling Stones, AT&T, and Range Rover.
